. Moved back to Toronto, housed with some roomies for a year, then purchased a condo with Phil. Living by the lake is nice.

. Adopted a new kitten named Evie. She's all white with one blue eye and one green eye. She is the David Bowie of all kittens.

. Started writing and illustrating my illustrated short story book.

. Got back into art. Just recently. Let's hope it continues. I missed you art.

So, if it's not one thing, it's another... lol I broke my foot, so I haven't been working. I SHOULD be painting and drawing more, but it's like all of the motivation has been sucked out of me.

This is like.. Week 5? now, and i finally painted something. I got new xrays last week, I haven't even begun to heal (which is apparently normal), so it sucks. Big time. The pain isn't bad unless I walk around a lot, hence the reason I cannot work right now. Me calf muscle feels like it's on the stretcher, from being contorted different ways to accomodate my foot.

In the last year, I've injured myself and needed hospital treatment twice now. Lame. lol

Yeah, i did that while washing a glass that broke in my hand. i spent over 2 hrs in the clinic today only to find out that i waited too long for stitches that i needed...so now,it's going to take me longer to heal and i'll get a nasty scar...so yeah... my right hand is useless and it's my dominent hand...thankfully my instructors (so far) have been understanding. kindof hard to paint when cannot hold anything...my hand is wrapped like a mummy. hence the lack of caps....i have to shower with a bag taped to my wrist. :(

anyways, art is on hiatus until further notice.

Will O' Wisp - Sketch

Ooooh, the workings of a new piece.

Will O' Wisp

The actually depictions of the will o' wisp will be those blobs in the BG. Will o' wisps are lights that would leave travellers astray. Also known as witch or fairy lights, there were said to be held by mischievous fairies. Once getting a traveller totally lost or near the edge of a cliff, the fairy would snuff out their light, snicker and leave the traveller lost and alone.
